I feel pity for the next generation currently in their nappies who would never understand why their forefathers, irrespective of their religion, considered one man as their god.
What can I learn from Sachin Tendulkar?
Can Sachin’s qualities help me to earn money?
How can I be like him?
Lots of question like these strikes in my mind whenever I watch this legend on television. I always think that how he can manage things superbly almost 24 years and dominate world cricket for a long period of time.
As a blogger I can feel that it is not easy to get higher rankings and once you get them, it’s more difficult to maintain that position. Who doesn’t want to own a luxury Ferrari car, an unbeatable career or having a wonderful life but do we really contain qualities like Sachin?
There is a Sachin in each one of us and our job is to nurture it. I think that there are few things which we all can learn from this Sachin to better ourselves at whatever we do.
Decide what you want
This is one of the best qualities that Sachin Tendulkar has. He always knows what exactly he wants to do. He is passionate for cricket from his childhood and always believes that he is born to play cricket. His thoughts were clear to play cricket. The other best thing about Sachin was, even after having all possible batting records to his name, he considered himself as a student of this game.
“If you don’t know where you’re going, you’ll end up someplace else.”
― Yogi Berra
How dedicated you are?
There can be no better example than Sachin to know about dedication. He did not stop his game when his father passed away, he played cricket the very next day too. There are no shortcuts in the road to Success. But if you stay committed and do not give up in the middle, you are sure you succeed. Sachin faced numerous health issues and also went through a couple of rough patches in life, but that did not stop him from moving forward.
“When the Going Gets Tough, the Tough Get Going.”
― English Proverb
Never give up
Sachin has made a comeback when everyone thought he was down and out. Life has never been a fairy tale for Sachin. It never usually is. He has had all the ups and downs that we all face. Injuries and bad form have haunted him. He has got out 34 times on duck and there was a time when he was famous for his nervous 90. But he never gave up. Today, we don’t remember his failures rather we remember the man who made everyone smile every time he walked on the field. He never stopped believing himself and worked even harder to bounce back stronger than ever. When you face any difficulties in your life, remember that this is just another step towards success. Such times ask more hard work, dedication and belief in you in order to overcome. So never give up when the times are tough as the night is darkest before the day.
Sachin after his 100th 100… 🙂
Rameez Raja: “A child who is watching Sachin Tendulkar, who wants to be a Sachin Tendulkar, what message do you have for that little kid?”
Sachin Tendulkar: “Enjoy your game and chase your dreams. I think dreams do come true. I had to wait for one for 22 years. We won the World Cup after 22 years of international cricket. So, dreams do come true. So, don’t stop chasing your dreams. “
I hope you will find something inspirational from this post and will nurture the hidden Sachin that you have within you.
